Washington Wizards (Nov. 6)
On the one hand, you’ve got the infamous SEGABABA—second game of a back-to-back—after traveling all the way back from Charlotte on no rest.
On the other hand, these are the Washington Wizards, who won 32 games in 2018-19 and whose roster is Bradley Beal and 12 guys they found playing pickup ball at the YMCA.
John Wall‘s injury woes have made his contract an albatross. They have C.J. Miles and Ian Mahinmi, two guys who weren’t even good on the 2015-16 Indiana Pacers, much less the 2019-20 Wizards.
And of the rest of their guys, only rookie Rui Hachimura — who will be playing only his seventh career game — and Thomas Bryant look like anything other than G-Leaguers.
If the Pacers can’t beat these guys, it might be time to pour some nitro fuel into the Hot Take Machine and press the panic button.
