Brooklyn Nets: 3 big questions heading into 2019-20

Following one of the best offseasons the league has ever seen, it’s time for the Brooklyn Nets to capitalize on their additions.
That’s right. The Brooklyn Nets, the team consistently marginalized as a “little brother” to the New York Knicks, stood tall this summer.
A decision that was made on June 30 and not any earlier, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving chose to team up in Brooklyn. A team whose main weakness last year — lack of star power — has now been addressed to the fullest extent.
To surround these superstars, the Nets also added quality veterans as complements. Garrett Temple can fill myriad roles on or off the ball, DeAndre Jordan is a solid backup for Jarrett Allen who may start at times and Taurean Prince is of DeMarre Carroll’s ilk.
To make room for these veterans, the Nets chose to export D’Angelo Russell, Treveon Graham and Shabazz Napier in the Durant sign-and-trade, let Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Jared Dudley and Ed Davis walk and traded Carroll to the San Antonio Spurs.
It doesn’t take an aficionado to say the Nets got better this summer, even though Durant will likely miss all of 2019-20. But there are still plenty of questions to answer as the season unfolds.
