With their offseason thus far a relative success, here are three big questions heading to the 2019-2019-20 NBA season for the Miami Heat.

Having missed the postseason for the second time in the past three seasons, there was no way Miami Heat president Pat Riley was going to sit by idly this offseason.

While Josh Richardson had become a genuine success story since being selected in the second round in 2015, the opportunity to land an All-Star in Jimmy Butler was something that was just too good to refuse. In addition to Richardson, center Hassan Whiteside and a future first-round draft selection were also sent out to acquire Butler’s services.

With Butler on board, and with the exciting duo of Justice Winslow and Bam Adebayo emerging throughout last season, the Heat have a genuinely exciting core to bring to the floor come the 2019-20 season.

Furthermore, it’s still only early August, meaning Riley and the front office still have sufficient time to make additional moves should they arise.

So with the upcoming regular season just over a couple of months away, here are three big questions facing the Miami Heat in 2019-20.
