Unlike past seasons, where the team has sat back and allowed other teams to go all-out in NBA free agency, the Suns front office made moves. While some were questionable, others look like they were for the better of the franchise.
But the final determinant will be how the team does next season.
Coming off a 19-63 year, there’s not a whole lot of ways the Suns can get worse. Unless this season continues four-year lottery streak the Suns have held.
But with a number of new acquisitions and drafting a pair of first-rounders in this year’s draft, it will also be a very new looking squad. That includes the foundation of the young core of Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges.
While the Suns may not be heading into a playoff season, there will be a lot to figure out heading into opening night of 2019-20.
