Re-sign Thomas Bryant
Bryant, another former Los Angeles Laker, had a career year filling in for the injured Dwight Howard. His 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and league leading 2-point shooting made re-signing him a priority this offseason and also allowed them to trade Howard away.
His new three-year, $25 million contract is a great move and gives the Washington Wizards a solid player in the low post. He showed he can score quickly last season and can even make the 3-ball at a 33.3 percent clip.
His defense still needs work, but he is just 22 years old and can grow in coach Scott Brooks’ system.
Thomas Bryant has agreed to a three-year, $25M deal to return to the Washington Wizards, agent Todd Ramasar (@tramasar) tells ESPN.

The smaller contract is great for the Wizards because if the University of Indiana product plays like he did last season, they have him at a reasonable price, but should he improve his game to the level of an NBA starter, they have him locked in for three years at a heavy discount.
