The Utah Jazz had a busy offseason, changing up the team a lot over the summer. With that change comes questions concerning how the team will perform

The Utah Jazz have been busy this summer. Whether that work came in the form of a trade for Mike Conley, or a notable free agency signing, the Jazz will look different next season. It is always hard for a team to bring in so many new players and avoid team chemistry struggles, something that the Jazz will need to find a way around if they want to climb the standings in the West.

The moves that the Jazz made came after a fairly successful regular season in which they finished fifth in the conference. They went up against the Houston Rockets in the first round and were ousted in five games. This came a season after they lost to Houston in the second round. Clearly, the front office felt that there needed to be changes on the roster.

With all the roster change comes questions from fans of the team and fans of the league in general. Many are wondering if the team will be competitive in the stronger Western Conference. With teams around them surrounding themselves with more talent, the question if the Jazz did enough to remain atop the West, and improve upon last year’s record. Some question how the team will play together with so many new parts, which is always a concern for a new team that made as many changes as the Jazz have this summer.

More questions revolve more specifically around players such as Mike Conley and Bojan Bogdanovic, and whether they are enough to put the Jazz in title contention. While they don’t scream “star talent”, they may surprise people with how they fit into Utah’s system and how well they work with the existing group of players. Still, fans have voiced their concerns, and are doubtful that the team will be much improved compared to last year.

All those questions and more are fair to ask. Sports aren’t the same without people questioning teams and their rosters in the offseason. Therefore, we’ll be looking at the three most asked questions for the Jazz regarding the 2019-20 season, and answering those same questions.
