1. Will this team make the playoffs?

The Oklahoma City Thunder still have some good pieces when you look at the young players and the old players. This is a team that should compete for a low playoff seed.

They have Chris Paul starting and Dennis Schroder backing him up. Then they have Andre Roberson and Hamidou Diallo at the 2 spot. The 3 is where things could get complicated. They do not have a ball handler that can score at that spot.

Paul George was the star player that they could rely on to do that for them but he’s gone now. Danilo Gallinari will rely on somebody to get the ball to him in position to score. Last season, 84.5 percent of his 3s were assisted.

Darius Bazley has shown that he has dominant control of the ball when he dribbles but he needs to improve his overall game to take that starting spot. What George did will be almost impossible to recreate for the Thunder next season.

Kevin Hervey should get a call-up and a look at that position.

At the 4, the Thunder lost Jerami Grant and it will be hard to recreate what he did for them also. Mike Muscala will provide extra shooting for them that wasn’t there for them last year.

Steven Adams is still there for the Thunder at center and they have Nerlens Noel to back him up so they are fine at that position. The Thunder still have some weapons on this team. They should make the playoffs or compete for a low seed.
