2. How will the role players do?

The Oklahoma City Thunder still have players that can contribute. There is still Dennis Schroder, Andre Roberson, Raymond Felton, Nerlens Noel and Abdel Nader. They will be asked to contribute even more heavily than they did last year.

Schroder helped the bench even though they were still dismal. If Chris Paul gets traded and the Thunder don’t feel Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is ready, Schroder could be inserted into the starting lineup.

Schroder averaged 15.5 points per game last year. He will be called upon to get even more points than this year. With Schroder on the team, the Thunder are in a good position.

Roberson will be coming back from injury. He was on the trading block this offseason and he may get traded as his defensive abilities could help a contender. If he remains on the team he will be able to help the Thunder guard the best wing on the opposing team.

Noel is a reliable backup and he can spell Steven Adams. He averaged 1.2 blocks per game last season, which was his highest figure since the 2015-16 season. The Thunder will have somebody to guard the basket when Adams comes out of the game.

Nader is a player that stepped up last season and provided flashes. He will need to show improvement next season. he only averaged 4.0 points a game but with more minutes his stats should raise.
