Fit on the Blazers
Unlike some of the guys on this list, Jason Smith can play both center and power forward. He can bang around down low but can also space the floor as a decent 3-point shooter. Smith is a smart player who knows his role on a team and won’t try to do too much.
For the Blazers, Smith would provide depth at both frontcourt spots and his ability to shoot the 3-ball makes him a perfect fit on offense. It looks like the Blazers had a plan to add more guys to space the floor next season to make things easier on their stars and Smith does just that.
His versatility could be a difference-maker for this team once everyone is fully healthy.
