2. Anthony Morrow

One skill can get a player quite far in the NBA, none more valuable in 2019 than the ability to shoot the basketball. Teams have put a premium on spacing, trotting out as many as five capable snipers at any given point to better serve their production offensively.

Being able to knock down a 3-point shot is so valuable in today’s NBA, some teams require little else from a player at either end.

If a guy can keep a defense honest and stretch them out farther than usual, there’s a very high chance they’ll see consistent minutes independent of their deficiencies elsewhere.

When it comes to stroking it from beyond the arc, there aren’t many better available options than Anthony Morrow. Of his nine seasons in the NBA, he shot above 37.0 percent from downtown in all but one of them, including five above 40.0 percent.

Mind you, those percentages came on just 3.4 attempts per game with a career-high mark of 4.6., neither of which would rank inside the top 75 of this past season. Some player’s efficiency takes a dip with an increase in volume.

Morrow would likely see a slight decrease but not enough to outweigh the incredible amounts of damage he’d do from the 3-point line.

From Troy Daniels to J.J. Redick, there are many NBA players whose earnings rest solely on their prowess from the 3-point line. This isn’t to suggest Morrow should take their spot as arguably the better shooter.

It should serve to highlight the roles still available in the NBA that he could ideally fill.
