The 2019-20 Los Angeles Lakers are an eclectic collection of talent, each with an interesting path that brought them to the NBA’s most famous franchise.
Player movement in the NBA offseason has become so busy in recent years, it can be tough to keep track of who lands where by the time the dust settles around mid-July.
The Los Angeles Lakers are one team in particular that should bring “Hi, My Name Is…” name tags to training camp ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The new-look Lakers traded away a handful of players from last season — including two starters — and let others walk in free agency. About half of the team is new and some of the key returners are only entering their second year with the franchise.
A lot of Lakers fans might not be up to speed on the respective backgrounds of their roster, whether it’s what they did in college or how they performed in the pros prior to coming to L.A.
Of course, some members of the star-studded squad need no introduction.
Anyone who considers themselves a sports fan in 2019 knows of LeBron James‘ work and Anthony Davis is only a stranger to the most casual basketball fans. Other newcomers and incumbents might not be as familiar to Laker Nation.
