Cleveland Cavaliers: 4 potential Kevin Love trades to consider
By Tony Pesta
2. Miami Heat
The Cavaliers shouldn’t just be looking to trade for a draft pick that could potentially turn into a valuable player, they should attempt to find a player who is already young and promising. One of their main targets: Justise Winslow.
Winslow is a dynamic forward that can defend multiple positions and bring the ball up the floor. In fact, the Miami Heat even experimented with playing Winslow at the point guard position and he thrived at finding open teammates.
In his most impressive stretch of the season, Winslow averaged 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game over the course of 25 games. During this run, he recorded two triple-doubles and three double-doubles.
At 22 years of age, Winslow could be a long-term member of the Cavaliers if they trade for him.
As for the Heat, they gain a second star to pair with the newly acquired Jimmy Butler. There is no telling how far the Heat could go with Butler and Love, but if everything goes right, the All-Star duo could easily make the Heat a top tier team in the East.
To finish off the deal, Miami throws in James Johnson and a 2021 first-round pick. Johnson helps replace Love at the forward position while the draft pick gives Cleveland another shot at finding another building block.
