Cleveland Cavaliers: 4 potential Kevin Love trades to consider
By Tony Pesta
3. Indiana Pacers
Only two seasons ago, the Indiana Pacers were one game away from knocking off LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in round one of the 2018 NBA Playoffs. Led by Victor Oladipo, the Pacers still feel they are only a few moves away from seriously competing.
Oladipo is their MVP, but this team goes much deeper. Myles Turner led the league in blocks last season and should have been in talks for the Defensive Player of the Year. Meanwhile, Domantas Sabonis and the addition of Malcolm Brogdon gives them some solid depth.
By trading for Love, the Pacers give themselves a shot at the title. The inside-out dynamic between Oladipo, Turner and Love would be fantastic for spreading the floor and opening up the offense.
Love would also help them in the rebounding department, an area in which they ranked 24th in the league last year.
In exchange, the Cavaliers get a promising young player in T.J. Warren and some additional wing scoring with Jeremy Lamb. To top it off, the Cavs secure a 2022 first-round pick to help them build through the draft.
The only catch to this deal is that it can not be completed until Dec. 15 as Warren is unable to be traded in combination with another player until then.
