The third offseason with Travis Schlenk at the helm proved to be one of his busiest for the Atlanta Hawks. But just how good was his hectic offseason?
The Atlanta Hawks have wasted no time retooling and rebuilding their roster under the direction of general manager Travis Schlenk. In the last three offseasons, Schlenk has torn down a playoff contender and come back with one of the most anticipated lineups outside of Los Angeles.

The starting lineup for the Hawks consisted of Paul Millsap (over in Denver now), Dennis Schroder, Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore.
Schroder was moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder last offseason to let Trae Young take the reins of this team and Bazemore was just moved to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Schlenk has changed the look of this team so much, there is only one player left from the 2016-17 roster after he took over, DeAndre’ Bembry.
But a majority of this change came during the current offseason. Over the past few seasons, Schlenk has made shrewd moves to accumulate future draft picks — including five total picks in the 2019 NBA Draft.
The Hawks didn’t even make all of their draft picks though, opting to sell off two of the late second rounders they owned and move their other picks to trade up in the draft for a specific 3-and-D player they wanted.
The team also made some trades to free up some roster spots and put themselves in a position to shed a lot of salary cap after the 2019-20 season. With a lot of moves over the last couple months, how exactly did the Hawks come out?
