After a pretty unexpected free agency period, the New York Knicks find themselves relatively better than the year before, though contending appears to be a long way down the road for them.
They traded away Kristaps Porzingis, their franchise cornerstone for the last four seasons, in exchange for the chance to sign two max players in the 2019 offseason. Unfortunately for them, things did not go quite according to plan, ultimately being left with no All-Stars on the team.
Despite all that, the Knicks have upgraded their roster significantly.
