New York Knicks: 3 players set for breakout seasons

Some young guys on the New York Knicks appear to be on the verge of making their next big step in the league. Who could those players be in 2019-20?

After a pretty unexpected free agency period, the New York Knicks find themselves relatively better than the year before, though contending appears to be a long way down the road for them.

They traded away Kristaps Porzingis, their franchise cornerstone for the last four seasons, in exchange for the chance to sign two max players in the 2019 offseason. Unfortunately for them, things did not go quite according to plan, ultimately being left with no All-Stars on the team.

Despite all that, the Knicks have upgraded their roster significantly.

Ahead of the 2019-20 NBA season, their roster has been filled with some of the best role players in the league, bound to take over in crunch time and help the rookies and sophomores acclimatize themselves to this level of play.

Failing to sign a big-name free agent, though, did come with the side dish of a comedy barrage across the entire basketball world.
