2. Kevin Hervey played well

Kevin Hervey was a pleasant surprise in Summer League. Hervey was drafted in last years draft late in the second round. He played in the G League the whole season last year and it looks like it has paid off.

Hervey was drafted out of UT-Arlington where he was the number one option and was very dominant in the Sun Belt Conference. His last year in the league he averaged 20.5 points and 8.5 rebounds and was named the 2016-17 Sun Belt Player of the Year.

In Summer League, Hervey showed the ability to shoot the three and flat out score points as he did in college. His best game was against the Philadelphia 76ers in an OT thriller. He had 17 points and 17 rebounds in that game, resulting in an 84-81 victory for OKC.

With the Thunder pretty much in rebuild mode, he should be able to make the team and provide some valuable minutes. Hervey will be a player to watch for the Thunder during the season.
