3. Darius Bazley will need to get better

Darius Bazley did not have a good Summer League. It was the first time he played organized basketball ever since high school. He had just been training with the one year he had off.

During that one year, Bazley tried to improve his game by taking pointers from professionals and working out with trainers to fine-tune his raw skills. He had the chance to go to Syracuse but chose not to go. He played in the G League but he didn’t do well there.

Bazley will be a work in progress. He will need to go to the G League to develop this season but with OKC in a rebuild, he may not have to go there to develop his skills. The Thunder could just throw him in the fire and let him start on day one.

When he is out there though you can tell he has talent. He had his best game in the last game of Summer League where he scored 11 points against Croatia. When he has the ball in his hands you can tell he has control. He had some very good eye-catching moves in the games that were played.
