2. Kenny Wooten stands out

Fans are always excited about what some younger players can bring to their favorite teams. The New York Knicks are in an asset collection mode, so finding younger players that went under the radar would be great, and it looks like they may have found two.

Kenny Wooten went undrafted this year after declaring for the draft. It did not take long for the former Oregon Duck to showcase his talents.

Wooten is an undersized center at 6’9” but is not someone you want to see in the paint. He is a tenacious rebounder and looks to block every shot and layup around him, much like Mitchell Robinson. He played only 13.3 minutes, yet still averaged 2.5 blocks per game. Wooten has a real chance of landing the second available two-way deal and should be given a spot on the G League team at the least.

He should receive invites to training camp in September. It would not be surprising to see Wooten added to the pipeline in the G League and potentially called up if the Knicks start moving players once the NBA Trade Deadline approaches in February.
