Dwight Howard: 3 potential landing spots for free agent center
By Nick Crain
Future Hall of Famer Dwight Howard is one of the few quality centers left on the market. Where could the elite rebounder end up next season?
Although he is known for being somewhat of an issue in the locker room and seems to be injured much too often, Dwight Howard is still one of the best rebounders in the NBA. On the right team, if he can stay healthy, he could certainly be a quality contributor to an NBA team next season.

After eight straight NBA All-Star appearances, Howard has had a rough several years. Playing on four different teams in the last four years, he has had trouble finding the right fit on an NBA roster.
Howard, now 33 years old, has the opportunity in the 2019-20 season to prove he still is a starting-caliber center. Over the course of his 15-year NBA career, he has earned a very decorated resume and will more than likely be a Hall of Famer one day.
With career averages of 17.4 points and 12.6 rebounds, Howard has always been able to stuff the stat sheet. With 1,044 games under his belt, he has started all but one game during his NBA career.
Howard is a five-time league rebounding champ, three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and two-time block leader.
After being acquired by the Washington Wizards prior to last season, injuries plagued Howard’s season resulting in him appearing in only nine total games.
While there are few teams who will be willing to take a risk on Howard, his market may be limited. Clearly, still being a free agent at this point in the summer is an indicator of that. However, there are still teams who could use a center, whether it be a starter or bench player.
Let’s take a look at several teams who for the right price could be a good landing spot for Dwight Howard.
