Kyle Korver is a free agent and has his pick of contending teams. What are the top five potential landing spots for the ageless shooter?

2019 NBA free agency has been a wild ride for all parties involved. At the top, winners of the last three Finals MVPs changed teams. Depending on your definition, as many as nine of the league’s 20 best players changed teams this summer.

The NBA middle class shuffled as well, with players sliding across the country in trades and signings to find themselves on different teams. Kyle Korver found himself traded from the Utah Jazz to the Memphis Grizzlies in the Mike Conley trade, only to be flipped to the Phoenix Suns in a separate trade and subsequently waived.

That means Korver finds himself on the open market after much of the smoke has cleared. A number of teams out there have interest in the 38-year-old sharpshooter, including three contenders in the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Being able to shoot at an elite clip (42.9 percent for his career from deep) and not die defensively is a coveted skill in the modern NBA, and it will allow Korver to matter even as he ages toward retirement. He will have a real role on whatever team signs him, and plenty of interest. The question is what Korver wants at this point in his career.

If he desires to play for a title, there are a number of contenders out there with legitimate hopes of hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy. At his age, his minimum contract is quite hefty and may make up most of the difference than going to a team with cap space or exceptions to give him a larger salary. Does he want to live in a certain area? Potentially stay in Utah? Play in a certain system?

What is important to Korver and his family will dictate his decision, and it doesn’t have to come quickly. Multiple contenders will enter training camp with an open roster spot or two. He has options and time, but where is he likely to end up?
