2019 NBA free agency: 5 potential landing spots for Shaun Livingston

2. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers were a couple of clutch Kawhi Leonard shots away from beating the NBA champions last season. The team’s two most valuable assets gained another year of experience, as well as more time to develop with new piece Tobias Harris. Josh Richardson and Al Horford are also nice additions.
With the departures of Jimmy Butler and J.J. Redick, the squad could use some veteran leadership. Enter Shaun Livingston, who already seems to fit the mold of a team that plays big with two centers and a nearly seven-foot “point guard” in its starting lineup. If Livingston subbed in for Richardson, he’d be the shortest guy on the floor along with the team’s core four players.
Adding size is great, but the Sixers hope to reach new heights next season. Livingston has been to five straight NBA Finals. One would think he might know a little bit about what it takes to get to the championship.
More than anything, Livingston would give the 76ers another ball-handler. With Simmons off the floor, Philadelphia often turned to Butler last year at point. Jimmy Buckets probably loved it, but wise coaches would’ve rather had him playing off the ball.
Raul Neto is good in spurts, but having another guard as insurance would make sense. Livingston could slide in there perfectly.
