Shaun Livingston’s impressive run with the Golden State Warriors is over. Here are some possible places he could sign next in 2019 NBA free agency.

NBA free agent Shaun Livingston‘s career mirrors almost no other. Selected fourth overall in the 2004 NBA Draft, a stomach-churning knee injury nearly ended his career before it ever really got off the ground.

Livingston treaded water for years in professional basketball, even dabbling in the G League with the Tulsa 66ers. Finally, he found some success as a backup to Deron Williams with the Brooklyn Nets in 2013 before cementing himself as a piece of the Golden State Warriors dynasty.

He was a valuable member of the Warriors, especially in the team’s first championship run. Livingston had his moments in the playoffs, like when he scored 20 points in Game 1 of the 2016 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It was a weird journey. A high school-to-pro stud who hardly sniffed an NBA starting lineup, let alone an All-Star game, eventually won three NBA titles after missing loads of time to injury. If anyone has seen the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows the NBA has to offer, it’s Livingston.

In the words of Joaquin Phoenix’s character in Gladiator, “Striking story! But now the people want to know how the story ends.”

Indeed we do. Here are five possible destinations, likely the last stop, for Livingston.
