3 ways new point guard group will benefit Utah Jazz

With the Utah Jazz reshaping and retooling their point guard group this offseason, here are three benefits that the new faces will present for the Jazz in 2019-20.

The Utah Jazz are one of the teams that have headlined an already busy offseason heading into the 2019-20 campaign.

After reaching the Western Conference playoffs for a third straight year, where the Jazz found themselves getting bounced by the Houston Rockets in the opening round, Utah went into the summer looking to try and propel itself in order to take the next step towards a title run.

So far this offseason, through the draft, free agency and the trade market, the Jazz have made the necessary moves to put them into that contender conversation and become a team to look out for in the West.

Most notably, the biggest improvements that Utah has seen within its roster have come at the point guard position.

The Jazz first added star point guard Mike Conley in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies, then signed backup point guard Emmanuel Mudiay in free agency to transition out of an era that consisted of Ricky Rubio and Raul Neto as the team’s floor generals.

Right off the bat, there are a few things that set Conley and Mudiay apart from Rubio and Neto, and the Jazz are hoping those aspects will boost them to a deep run this year.
