With his NBA career set to begin, R.J. Barrett will be one of the most talked-about rookies this season as New York Knicks fans wait for his debut.

Selected by the New York Knicks with the third overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, R.J. Barrett seems set for his NBA career to kick off.

The exciting prospect out of Duke has already started out the prelude of his career with the Knicks as a member of the team’s NBA Summer League roster. After struggling heavily in the first two contests, he was impressive during the team’s loss against the Toronto Raptors on Monday night,  putting up 17 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and three blocks.

What seems to have Knicks fans at the edge of their seats regarding Barrett is the fact that he appears to be extremely fired up about playing for the Knicks. Perhaps one of the most significant moments of his life was when his late grandfather — a die-hard Knicks fan — told him that he would one day play for the New York Knicks.

Barrett has already turned the Knicks into title favorites, though this, unfortunately, only seems to apply to the 2019 NBA Summer League for now.

With his NBA debut at Madison Square Garden only a few months away, here are some realistic predictions for R.J. Barrett during his rookie season, a select list of some things he would love to cross off his to-do list sooner rather than later.
