2. Nik Stauskas

Nik Stauskas has been on five NBA teams in five seasons. When he was coming out of college, he was expected to be a wing that could up points in a hurry with his 3-point shot. The problem is that he has been extremely inconsistent, and he’s been surrounded by players that couldn’t shoot to allow him to play to his strengths. Down the stretch last season though, he finally started to get some things going.

With the Cleveland Cavaliers for 24 games, he shot 42.9 percent from 3-point range on 2.6 attempts per game. With a point guard like Collin Sexton that wasn’t a great shooter, Stauskas was able to space the floor for him while he would drive to the rim. He would play a similar role alongside Jackson and especially Brown, who struggled mightily from 3-point range during his rookie campaign last year.

Stauskas is likely the cheapest guy on this list so far. He doesn’t do much more than shoot, which makes it easier to get him for a discount. Their Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception sits at about $1.9 million right now, and that might even be more than he’s worth based on his inconsistencies. If they’re looking to add more shooting, which they should be, they could do worse than Stauskas.
