5. Orlando Magic

With a deep big man rotation including Al-Farouq Aminu, Mo Bamba, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Chuma Okeke, and Nikola Vucevic, the Orlando Magic can certainly afford to part ways with some of their depth.

For the Thunder, Aaron Gordon is an ideal fit to begin their rebuild around. Not to mention, the Achilles heel of the Magic the past few seasons has been point guard play. Can they really rely on Markelle Fultz to be the point guard of the future?

Still just 23 years old, Gordon is a star in the making. Last season, he averaged 16.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Alongside Steven Adams, the Thunder would have a fun, young core of big men. Oklahoma City would also acquire Evan Fournier, who is an outstanding shooter who would keep the Thunder relevant.

With Russell Westbrook at the helm surrounded by the rest of the Magic’s wing and forward depth, they would certainly be a playoff team in the Eastern Conference. This would also allow Fultz to make his way back into the NBA with much less pressure. The Magic would also acquire a future first-round pick as a sweetener for Russell Westbrook’s contract.
