7. Haywood Highsmith

Haywood Highsmith was recently waived from the two-way contract he signed in January. The need for him to perform this summer is currently at an all-time high if he wants to remain a member of the Sixers in the near future. He appeared in five games with the team in 2018-19, spending most of his time with the Delaware Blue Coats. There he displayed some tangibles of a 3-and-D guy, as he shot 33.8 percent from deep and plucked 1.2 steals a night in 46 games. Bottom line: He needs a big Summer League.

6. Terry Harris

One could argue that Terry Harris’ inclusion on this summer squad had plenty to do with older brother Tobias Harris returning to Philly on a max deal, or vice-versa. But don’t write off little bro just yet. He was a 41.1 percent 3-point shooter last season at North Carolina A&T.

Despite bouncing around colleges for the past three years, playing stints for Houston Baptist and Eastern Michigan, Terry Harris has decent size and athleticism for the NBA level with his 6’6″ frame. Take any nepotism out of the equation, and the Sixers have added an interesting piece to this roster.

5. Marial Shayok

Marial Shayok is the Sixers’ lone second round pick of this year’s draft, but he will be clawing for the team’s final two-way contract as much as the rest of the pack.

After spending three years at Virginia, everything about Shayok ballooned when he transferred to Iowa State last year — most notably his numbers. He recorded a career-best 18.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game on 49.6 percent shooting, earning All-Big 12 First Team honors.
