The result

So now that the machinations have been worked out, let’s look at how the math will actually work (these are all estimates, obviously):

  • Simmons: 34
  • Richardson: 34
  • Harris: 34
  • Horford: 30
  • Embiid: 30
  • Scott: 18
  • Ennis: 14
  • Smith: 14
  • Neto: 10
  • Thybulle: 10
  • O’Quinn: 6
  • Milton or Bolden: 6

These figures will be fluid throughout the season, but that’s at least a baseline when everyone’s healthy.

The defense as a whole should rank among the top three, as one of Horford or Embiid will always be patrolling the paint. In addition, Richardson and Simmons are a fearsome duo up front who can both switch 1-4 with ease.

It would behoove the team to look into acquiring a sharpshooter (Kyle Korver comes to mind), but it’s not like they’ll be poor on offense. All this size allows for some matchup exposure when other teams have weak links, which the Sixers were often on the wrong end of when playing teams like the Boston Celtics.
