Coming off of the latest in free agency news, we take a look at the most recent heartaches that Minnesota Timberwolves fans have experienced during the summer.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a fairly, well, sketchy history during the offseason. In most articles titled something like “Biggest Draft Mistakes,” the Timberwolves are bound to come up at least once, and their history during free agency hasn’t been much better.

Admittedly, some of these tragedies aren’t the Wolves’ fault. Or at the very least, they aren’t that iteration of the Timberwolves fault. Just like many other teams, Minnesota has stumbled down the ladder in the NBA Draft Lottery, made some horrible draft picks and signed some confusing players during free agency.

In the wake of the most recent offseason tragedy in missing out on D’Angelo Russell, now feels like the best time to take a stroll down horrible memory lane, with these five recent offseason tragedies.
