Troy Daniels: 1 year, $2.1 million (Los Angeles Lakers)

Oh hey, the Los Angeles Lakers finally made a move! Troy Daniels can really only do one thing, but it’s the one thing this team needs most with so many quality depth pieces already off the market: shoot the 3-ball.

As the Lakers await Kawhi Leonard’s decision, quite a few prominent role players have already been swept off the board. Luckily, the soon-to-be 28-year-old Daniels will provide some semblance of depth at the veteran minimum. The spacing he’ll bring alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis will feel like oxygen for this offense.

Last year, Daniels posted a mere 6.2 points in 14.9 minutes per game for the Phoenix Suns, as his minutes were all over the map. Even so, he canned 38.1 percent of his triples, and is a career 40 percent shooter from distance. He’ll definitely help, but hopefully the Lakers won’t assign him too large of a role as they fill out the rest of the rotation on the margins.
