Matt Thomas: 3 years, $4.2 million (Toronto Raptors)

Matt Thomas is another EuroLeague name most NBA fans are probably unfamiliar with, but according to Synergy, he was an absolutely lethal catch-and-shoot sniper, posting an absurd effective field goal percentage of 82 percent on such looks, including 99 percent when left unguarded.

With Valencia this past season, Thomas averaged 11.4 points per game and shot 48.5 percent from 3-point range. He also shot a tidy 51.1 percent from the field and 84.6 percent from the foul line, so it’s pretty obvious what he’ll bring to the Toronto Raptors if he gets minutes.

Kawhi Leonard’s future is still up the in the air, but if he returns, another shooter will enter the fold to help space the floor. If he doesn’t, the Raptors still picked up a super cheap long range weapon that’s worth checking out.

Grade: C+
