The Los Angeles Lakers now have approximately $32 million in cap space. Here’s a look at the three needs the team must address in 2019 NBA free agency.

On the heels of missing the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season, the Los Angeles Lakers have been very active, to say the least. For starters, they fired head coach Luke Walton and replaced him with Frank Vogel.

As reported by ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers acquired Anthony Davis via a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart, not to mention three first round picks, including the No. 4 pick from this year’s NBA Draft.

Furthermore, they recently created enough cap space to either pursue a third superstar to play alongside LeBron James and Davis, or spread the wealth among several players. Despite the moves they have made, however, there are multiple areas the Lakers need to focus on.

So without further delay, here’s a look at three needs the team has to address once the free agency period begins.
