2. Seth Curry

Travis Schlenk seems like he’s on a mission to turn the Hawks into Warriors-East. Why not bring in a Curry brother to further cement that mission statement?

While he isn’t future Hall-of-Famer or possibly the greatest shooter of all time like his brother is, Seth Curry enjoyed a nice season as Damian Lillard‘s backup, averaging 7.9 points a night on a .456/.450/.846 shooting line. With stats like that, even in small doses, Curry would be a viable option for a backup role in Atlanta, if both parties are interested.

He would also bring some versatility to the rotation, as his ability to play both guard positions would allow him to spell Young and run the offense in his stead, or play alongside him as a floor spacer/secondary ball-handler, similar to how Terry Stotts used him in Portland.

If the Hawks want him, they may have to fend off other interested teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, who have reportedly shown interest. But if they or anyone else choose to pass up on a dude who shot over 40 percent from 3-point range last year and was one of the best pick-and-roll point guards in the league — averaging 1.02 points per possession, albeit on only 1.9 possessions per game — then the Hawks should scoop him up.
