4. Dallas Mavericks

With over $46 million available in “practical” cap space, the Dallas Mavericks are set to be one of the more active teams in free agency. In addition to taking care of restricted free agent Kristaps Porzingis, the Mavericks are also in the hunt for an important additional piece.

Currently, they have been linked to in-demand free agents Kemba Walker and Al Horford. However, in the event they’re unsuccessful with that duo, Beverley is a player that makes a lot of sense. With newly named Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic returning for his second season, Beverley would provide as an excellent complement playing off the ball alongside Doncic and his exquisite playmaking abilities.

With championship coach Rick Carlisle in charge, and owner Mark Cuban and the front office always on the front foot when it comes to improving the franchise, the Mavericks would represent an enticing landing spot for Beverley, especially when you consider that he should have multiple years remaining of performing at a high level.

So when you combine what he brings to the table and the annual salary he’s expecting, the Mavericks present as one of the better overall fits in the league.
