5. Joakim Noah

Height: 6’11”
Weight: 230 pounds
Position: C

A former Defensive Player of the Year, Joakim Noah still has some life left in him and could make an impact for a playoff team like the Blazers. Noah is still only 34, but has only played 49 total games in the past two years.

He played for the Memphis Grizzlies last season and averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.5 steals per game while shooting 51.6 percent from the field. Noah can still rebound, protect the paint, score down low and plays with a ton of hustle.

The Blazers could be without Jusuf Nurkic until after New Year’s and are going to need a guy who can hold down his starting spot for a couple of months. Noah’s experience as a starting center would be an excellent addition to the roster. Once Nurkic comes back, Noah can be his backup and would give the Blazers some solid depth.

He might not be the player he used to be for the Chicago Bulls, but his style and personality would fit right in with this Blazers team and fanbase. Portland would not have to break the bank for Noah and could probably get him on a one-year veteran minimum contract.
