4. Seth Curry

There was a time when Seth Curry was more known for having a famous brother in the league than what he could do on the basketball court. In fact, he suited up just four times during the first two years of his NBA career.

Fortunately, Curry has had some success in the NBA over the last three seasons, even if it has been with multiple teams. After playing 44 games for the Sacramento Kings in 2015-16, Curry performed quite nicely with the Dallas Mavericks in 2016-17. During that season, he averaged 12.8 points per contest on 48.1 percent shooting from the field. On the heels of that impressive campaign, the Portland Trail Blazers signed him to a two-year deal with a player option for the second year.

In his first season with the Blazers, Curry’s role was a bit limited, which caused his scoring average and playing time to dip to 7.9 points in 18.9 minutes per contest. Despite the reduced role, Curry shot a respectable 45.6 percent from the field and converted 45 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc on 3.4 attempts per contest. This was third-highest conversion rate in the league.

Whether Curry opts in for the second year of his contract remains to be seen. But if he decides to explore other options, he would be a valuable addition for the Lakers.
