The Denver Nuggets have four free agents in the 2019 NBA offseason, and they could very possibly be without all of these guys next year.

The Denver Nuggets could have up to four free agents this offseason. Two will be unrestricted in the forms of Tyler Lydon and Isaiah Thomas. They have a humongous team option on power forward Paul Millsap, and fellow power forward Trey Lyles is a restricted free agent.

It’s time to play a little buy or sell with these guys to figure out what the Nuggets should do with them. Denver is not expected to have a ton of cap space, but the team has made it work in the past.

The Nuggets’ young core, led by All-NBA center Nikola Jokic, is developing to make them one of the top contenders in the NBA, but they need to continue to put good pieces around them to maximize their window of contention. Some of these guys are just not coming back. They either didn’t fit, or they’re going to be too pricey to keep with a roster that’s getting more expensive every time a young player signs a contract extension.

Thanks to a number of young contributors waiting in the wings, they can afford to lose some guys if they get too expensive or the team doesn’t like the fit anymore. We’re going to work our way up based on how hard the decisions will likely be for the team.
