5. JaMychal Green

Undrafted in 2014, JaMychal Green bounced around a bit before landing as a bench contributor for the last gasp of the Grit-N-Grind Memphis Grizzlies. Now an unrestricted free agent at 29 and coming off an in-season trade that sent him to the Los Angeles Clippers, Green is finally free to pursue the market.

With Taj Gibson and Anthony Tolliver set to test free agency and Dario Saric set to do his moping in Phoenix instead of Minneapolis going forward, the Wolves have a serious hole to fill in the frontcourt. Green, a career 36.9 percent 3-point shooter, presents a good hypothetical stretch-4 candidate to play minutes along KAT.

Green has never been a plus defender — although he rebounds respectably for his size — but with a roster full of wings who quite frankly aren’t good shooters (Wiggins, Okogie, Culver), having another option to space the floor is imperative.

There are other big men on the market who are better shooters and players than Green, namely Brook Lopez and Nikola Mirotic, but neither is coming to Minnesota. Green is a feasible addition for something around the mid-level exception.
