5. Jonas Valanciunas

Here is another potential big man the Cleveland Cavaliers can consider signing. Jonas Valanciunas has been very productive for most of his career and could hit the free agency market for the first time if he opts out.

JV played six seasons in Toronto before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies midway through the 2018-19 NBA season. This turned out to be a great move for the Raptors as they gained former Defensive Player of the Year Marc Gasol. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies acquired a young center that could match what Gasol had been giving them in recent years.

It didn’t take long for Valanciunas to show his skills. In the final 19 games of the season, he averaged 19.9 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game. His top-notch footwork and touch around the rim helped him convert on 54.5 percent of his field goal attempts.

JV has plenty to offer this Cavaliers team. He would easily become their starting center and help add height to a roster that looks as if it might start two undersized point guards at the same time.
