8. Robin Lopez

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in desperate need for a big man. Last season, their tallest player was Channing Frye, who stood at 7’0″. Outside of Frye, the Cavaliers had a few players above 6’10” but nobody with a body big enough to make their presence truly felt. Tristan Thompson and Larry Nance Jr. were effective in spurts, but could never match up against bigger players.

This is why Robin Lopez is a great fit for the Cavaliers. Standing at 7’0″, Lopez has already shown his worth as a prototypical big man. He is going to bang down low and fight for rebounds. Even if he doesn’t block the shot, he has no fear of getting physical and contesting every attempt in the paint.

With the Chicago Bulls, Lopez averaged 9.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. This type of production would be more than welcome in Cleveland. Not to mention, the importance of signing a veteran player would help bring along the numerous rookies the Cavaliers now have.
