Conclusion

Bringing our focus back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, it may be a few years before we see NBA stars lining up to play for the franchise. While the city has undergone an extreme makeover from top to bottom, the Cavaliers still have some work to do before being title contenders again.

Last season, the Cavs finished with one of the three worst records in the entire league (19-63). However, this was expected, as the loss of LeBron James was sure to impact the team. It didn’t help that the Cavs’ last remaining All-Star, Kevin Love, appeared in only 22 games.

Luckily, the season wasn’t a throwaway one for the Cavaliers. Anyone watching could see the significant improvements in Collin Sexton and Cedi Osman. Combine this the addition of a potential star in Darius Garland and the selections of both Dylan Windler and Kevin Porter Jr. in the 2019 NBA Draft, and the Cavaliers are making leaps in their rebuild.

So even though the Cavaliers aren’t going to be found at the top of any free agent’s wish list just yet, the franchise is moving in the right direction. As the city and team continue to grow, we may one day see a star player choose to settle down in Cleveland, Ohio.
