Improvements in the city

As previously mentioned, the city of Cleveland has been undergoing plenty of changes. The 2010s have been one of their most successful decades to date. The Cavaliers reached the NBA Finals four consecutive times and won a title, while the Indians fell just one game short of winning the World Series in the same year. Even the Browns have become relevant with one of the most promising young cores in the NFL.

Not only have the teams improved, but the actual city has too. LeBron James’ return to the city in 2014 brought more than just basketball success, it increased employment by nearly 25 percent. The entire economy benefited from James’ presence and as a result, many areas of downtown Cleveland received renovations.

The city’s improvements haven’t gone unnoticed. As of now, Cleveland is set to host the 2019 MLB All-Star Game, the 2020 NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional Championship, the 2021 NFL Draft and the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

A lot is happening in Cleveland and the culture is being changed very quickly. In fact, Cleveland was even named one of the 50 most beautiful cities in the world, according to LoveExploring.com. Both the city and its sports teams are improving and NBA players are noticing. Just look at the type of love and affection players such as J.R. Smith, Channing Frye and Richard Jefferson have shown the city in recent years.
