1. Scoring potential

Thybulle’s primary question mark will be his development on the offensive side of the ball. If he can increase his shooting efficiency, there shouldn’t be much issue with how he fits the mold.

The Sixers value floor-spacing, and their success with that thinking gives reason to continue building around it. They shot 47.1 percent from the field last season, and 35.9 percent from behind the arc. These are all good things for Thybulle, who displayed at Washington he is capable and willing to be a catch-and-shoot threat, similar to how the Sixers have utilized Robert Covington and Landry Shamet in the past.

By no means should this deter him from growing off the dribble or forming an offensive craft of his own, but for now, this will be a role that best suits both parties.

Thybulle will need to soon live up to the hype. Unlike his predecessors, the wait before his professional debut will be short. Barring anything unforeseen, he will be a top-10 guy in the lineup once October hits.

As it was alluded to earlier, NBA Summer League will be a huge opportunity to prove his skill-set. Competing alongside and against experienced pros will preview how he translates to the sped-up and rangy game. How well he shoots the ball from deep will definitely be something to monitor, as well as how he handles himself defensively in a man-to-man format.
