With one of the biggest free agency periods on the horizon, it’s time for the Minnesota Timberwolves to look at their 6 free agents and decide who to re-sign and who to let walk.
Probably one of the best summers for free agency in a long time, the Minnesota Timberwolves are looking at a fair number of notable names in their free agency roster this year.
It’s important to remember with something like this, a big factor in whether or not you should keep a player is not how well they are doing, but can you realistically get a better option on the market.
The Timberwolves are a team that is on the verge of continuous seasons with playoff berths, but in order to get there they need to fill a couple holes that still need to be filled.
How they act in the free agent market this summer could be the difference between a playoff run and another summer off.
The starting five of the Minnesota team have already proven themselves, and shown that they could be helpful in a playoff race, but their backups are in need of a few tweaks, or neglecting that, some upgrades.
The Wolves selecting guard Jarrett Culver with the sixth overall pick was a start, but there are some more upgrades needed for a successful season.
With most of those second-string guys on the cutting block this summer, let’s take a look at who deserves another contract, and who should be let go.
