4. Danny Green

Danny Green was considered an afterthought as part of the trade that landed Kawhi Leonard with the Toronto Raptors. As it turned out, Green played well in his first (and possibly last) season in Toronto. He was a double-digit scorer for the third time in his career.

His 10.3 points per game was the third-best scoring output of his career. He also averaged a career high in rebounds, pulling down four per contest. He converted 46.5 percent of his overall attempts, which was the second-best mark of his career.

Moreover, Green shot 45.5 percent from 3-point range on 5.4 attempts per contest, which represents his best conversion rate from downtown.

Although Green doesn’t have the same defensive chops as Beverley, he is still considered a decent defender.

Even more important, Green is more concerned with excelling in his role rather than individual accolades, an attitude that would bode well for both him and the Lakers, should the two sides pair up.
