No. 50 pick: Jarrell Brantley

The Jazz were set to make their final selection of the night at pick No. 53, but instead chose to get another selection in Jarrell Brantley from the Indiana Pacers.

Brantley’s projected draft range was from somewhere in the second round to undrafted, but Andrew Miller of the Post and Courier had this to say on one of the new members of the Jazz:

"“Brantley (6-7, 250 pounds) is an intriguing prospect for NBA clubs. His combination of size and skill along with his ability to play multiple positions make him a legitimate second-round pick.”"

Within that same article, Miller included this take from an NBA scout:

"“He has an NBA-ready body and a good skill set…He can handle the ball and he’s a good passer for his size and he gets up and down the floor really well for a guy his size. He’s got a great motor. He’s a guy that can come off the bench and bring a lot of energy to a team. I see him as a mid-to-late second-round pick.”"

Brantley’s roster spot is far from guaranteed, but the Jazz have a roster full of former undrafted and second round players.
