Utah Jazz

Jarrell Brantley (No. 50), Justin Wright-Foreman (No. 53), Miye Oni (No. 58)

Coming on the heels of a big-time trade that brought in Mike Conley — which cost their first round pick — the Utah Jazz‘s trade to acquire the 50th overall pick will fly vastly under the radar.

Jarrell Brantley’s got great size at 6’7” and 250 pounds who shot 35.3 percent from distance in four years at Charleston. With Jae Crowder now in Memphis, Brantley may be given the chance to fill his shoes as a 3-and-D wing.

Justin Wright-Foreman — taken 53rd overall –was a tremendous scorer after averaging 27.1 points per game along with a 42.5 3-point percentage. He’s got a herky-jerky style and can shoot off the dribble. At just 2.9 assists a night, he could improve on his vision and become a more willing passer.

Having made a deal with the Warriors, the Jazz were also given guard Miye Oni at 58th overall. A strong body with extended arms, he projects to be an ideal spot-up shooter. With 3.6 assists per game, he’s a proven passer and his 37.1 3-point percentage should translate nicely at the next level.

With Jae Crowder shipped to the Grizzlies in order to bring in Conley, the Jazz now lack a tough 3-and-D wing. Brantley has the chance to be the replacement and could certainly make an impact on this up-and-coming Utah team.
