Chicago Bulls: 3 reasons Daniel Gafford was a good pick
With the 38th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls selected Arkansas big man Daniel Gafford. Here’s why his selection was a good one.
When the Chicago Bulls started this rebuild, they wanted to get “younger and more athletic,” and then promptly filled the roster with aging veterans. Now, the front office duo of John Paxson and Gar Forman can proudly boast that they are well on their way to fulfilling their original goals.
In addition to drafting North Carolina freshman star point guard Coby White, the Bulls selected Arkansas big man Daniel Gafford in the second round with the 38th overall selection. In his second season in Fayetteville, the 6’11” Gafford averaged 16.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game for Arkansas while earning First Team All-SEC honors.

Here are three key reasons why adding Daniel Gafford in the draft was a good pick for the Chicago Bulls.
