6. DeMar DeRozan’s homecoming…and the epic ending

All the aforementioned praise for Vince Carter basically applies to DeMar DeRozan, but with the exception that DeRozan left as a national hero. Both were extremely prolific shooting guards. Both brought postseason appearances but…not postseason success.

During his first game back in Toronto, it was a fair bet saying that he was set to receive a warm welcome and a standing ovation.

In a thriller kind of game, the Raptors managed to edge out the San Antonio Spurs behind a balanced scoring effort from the entire starting lineup of Toronto.

But it was Kawhi who decided to steal the show in the end, making an insane defensive play as if he had eyes behind his braids.

Nevertheless, the fans got exactly what they came for: a warm welcome for DeMar’s return and an exciting game between two playoff teams.
