3. Bojan Bogdanovic

Bojan Bogdanovic was one of the league’s better offensive wings last season, averaging 18.0 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from deep. If he signs with the Nuggets, look for them to boast a top-3 offense in 2019-20 and get buckets in a major way.

Bogdanovic shouldered an increased volume with the Indiana Pacers, as they soldiered through multiple injuries. Somehow he upped his efficiency amidst this increased role, shooting a career-high 49.7 percent from the field.

His stroke would seamlessly blend with Denver’s starting unit, providing a great catch-and-shoot outlet for Jokic. Bogdanovic would’ve been a helpful shot-maker in the postseason, as his floor-spacing discourages double-teams.

The general consensus critiques the Croatian wing as a poor defender. While the stopping end isn’t a strength, his 105.2 defensive rating points to an underrated impact on this side. His height also helps, as his 6’8″ frame can at least distract opposing shooters.

Bogdanovic earned $10.5 million last year, and could certainly command more after his 2018-19 campaign. This makes his signing less likely than others. Denver’s best sales pitch is its win-now opportunity and smooth chemistry. Plus, the slick-passing of Jokic would create the best looks in Bogdanovic’s five-year career.
